A couple of weeks ago, I was watching a talk of one photographer that I admire where she requested to her students to find the reason why they did start their job as a photographer, but the deep/real reason... not the one that everyone says: Because I love to take photos and capture moments.
Hace un par de semanas estaba viendo una conferencia de una fotógrafa a la que admiro dónde preguntaba a sus estudiantes cual era la razón por la cual eran fotógrafos, pero la razón real y profunda... no la que todos solemos decir: Porque amo sacar fotos y capturar momentos.
That question made me think which was my deep reason, and I found it, I will share my why I am a photographer with you today.
My father always liked arts and he owned an Analogic Pentax which allowed him to make eternal a lot of mundane moments of our childhood and life. We moved to a few of places when we were young, books and photos were the only material possessions that fill our baggage in every trip,
I think my love for photography started there, during those afternoons seeing albums and remembered anecdotes, adventures, etc.
Está `pregunta me llevó a pensar en mí razón para convertirme en fotógrafa, y la compartiré con ustedes hoy.
A mi papá siempre le gustaron las artes (en todas sus manifestaciones) y tenía una Pentax analógica que le permitió hacer eterno muchos de nuestras historias cotidianas de nuestra infancia. Cuando éramos chicos, nos mudamos a diferentes lugares con mi familia, libros y fotos eran las únicas posesiones materiales que llenaban nuestras valijas en esas mudanzas.
Creo que mi amore por la fotografía comenzó en ese momento, durante esas tardes viendo esas bellas imágenes y recordando anécdotas, aventuras, etc.
Photos has the power to become eternal the most mundane moment, print your memories, the future generations will thank you for this priceless heritage.
Every year, when I come back to my parent's house, I go back to those albums and appreciate more how lucky I am to have them.
